Citrix Synergy 2017 Call for Topics Open!
Citrix Synergy 2017

The Call for Citrix Synergy 2017 Topics is now open!

Get your thinking caps on.  Citrix Synergy 2017 is in the planning stages, but before it gets here, the show is going to need to gather up speaking sessions in order to build out its break-out session list for attendees.

Do you want to be a presenter at the show?  Give your success the spotlight it deserves: apply to be a guest presenter at Citrix Synergy 2017, May 23–25 in Orlando.

Choose Your Topic

Whether your expertise is enterprise mobility management, app virtualization or VDI, hybrid cloud or something else entirely, your experience and lessons learned will be incredibly valuable to your colleagues and peers.

Citrix Synergy judges are looking for great stories about how you solved your company’s toughest technology or business challenges.  So start there.

You're going to need to put some serious thought processes behind your submission.  If you wait until the last minute to throw something together... it will come across that way, and you're bound to fail.

When trying to come up with a topic, think about the types of presentations you enjoy signing up for and sitting through.

  • Stick to deep-dive technical topics supported with case studies and demos.
  • Provide practical guidance on planning, design and implementation.
  • Explain in detail how to solve certain business challenges using Citrix solutions, while avoiding budget and time challenges.
  • Use your years of experience to come up with a series of best practices.

Get Selected

How do you succeed with getting your speaking session accepted?  There is no silver bullet.  However, putting some thought behind it, taking the time to think about your proposal, and doing some research and planning will only help the situation.

Here are a few hints that might help:

  1. Research and plan your topic.  See what's hot out there right now.  What are people searching for?  What do they need help with?  What's really cool but complicated?
  2. Come up with a clever title.  That's the first thing that will jump out at people.  And let's be honest, if the title stinks or doesn't capture the attention, they probably won't look at the abstract that follows.
  3. Keep your abstract on point and make it as interesting as possible.  And provide enough details to get the message across and leave them wanting more!  Remember, you are the expert here.  Provide that expertise.

The Judging Process

Call for topic submissions will be reviewed and evaluated by an independent selection panel of industry experts, respected IT executives from top organizations, and independent industry analysts.

Judges will be looking for compelling, technically robust proposals that can educate, guide and inspire Synergy attendees.  That means avoid submitting proposals that could be considered marketing hype or sales pitches.  Be sure your submission includes technically rich content, offers insights and lessons learned.

The judges will make their selections based on the relevance of the topic and the experience of the speaker.

Submission Deadline is November 4, 2016

The online proposal is short and easy to complete; just the presentation title/abstract, a speaker bio, and contact information are all that are needed.  The lead presenter of each session will receive a complimentary full conference pass to Synergy 2017 Orlando.
