Cavirin Systems, Inc. announced today its continuous security compliance solution on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with the availability of asset discovery and CIS OS hardening standards on GCP. This capability combined with the forthcoming CIS Security Benchmarks for GCP and Kubernetes (K8) will ensure the security of hybrid workloads across regulated verticals.
Cavirin, a Google Cloud Platform Technology Partner, is now collaborating with Google in the development of the CIS security benchmarks specific to GCP. The availability of K8 benchmarks enhances security for Google Container Engine (GCE) and complements Cavirin's implementation of CIS security benchmark for Docker containers.
"Cloud adoption is increasingly subject to the scrutiny of security and regulatory compliance standards in industries such as retail, financial services, insurance, and healthcare. The massive sprawl of IT over cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments demands a monothematic view of security controls in place and continuous risk assessments," said Ravi Rajamiyer, vice president of engineering at Cavirin. "Cavirin's solution is designed as a scalable, cloud-native platform that simplifies continuous risk assessments, covering asset visibility, security evidence, audit reports and operational procedures for remediation rather than fragmented security assurances."
