StarNet Solutions Helps Customers Succeed With Tintri All Flash Storage

StarNet Solutions, an IT consulting firm and Tintri channel partner in Farmingdale, New Jersey, has adopted the Tintri storage family as a core part of its IT services that include in-depth, technical consulting for all types of IT infrastructure from server installations and support to the deployment of corporate LANs and WANs.

As a consultant company that stakes its reputation on providing accurate and honest IT assessments and recommendations for its clients, StartNet began recommending and selling Tintri based on Tintri's performance and service.

"Our mission is to give our customers an honest assessment of what they really need, not just what other technology vendors want us to sell them," said Lou Melograna, CTO and co-founder of StarNet Solutions. "And increasingly what they need is freedom from dated storage protocols. Tintri's ability to take every action at the VM level allows us to deliver a differentiated solution to customers that more directly addresses their data center pain points."

Melograna said many of StarNet's Tintri sales are replacing tier-one storage providers including Dell-EMC. A customer who replaced a Dell EqualLogic system with Tintri to run its Citrix environment introduced StarNet to Tintri.

"The customer told me how this new Tintri solution was being implemented to take over their Citrix farm with a setup in just a couple of hours," Melograna said. "Since then, I've been incredibly impressed with Tintri."

In addition to performance paired with a fast and easy installation process, Melograna recommends Tintri for its technical support, which the company tested before agreeing to offer it to customers.

"We called Tintri with a bunch of test questions to find out what they knew and how quickly they could respond," he said. "They were quick to respond and had all the right answers. That allows us to recommend Tintri with confidence-we know customers will value the freedom from storage management."
