VMblog's IGEL #distruptEUC 2018 Video Montage

Earlier this month, VMblog had the pleasure of attending the inaugural IGEL disruptEUC event which took place in Austin, TX.  At this show, a few hundred end user computing enthusiasts and experts came together to learn, share and experience a number of great speakers, vendor technologies and learning sessions.  Austin attendees even witnessed the return to the stage, after some 18 months, of EUC fan favorite Brian Madden.

disruptEUC was marked with at-length discussions around the end-user experience.  Some of the key takeaways included: The way organizations are thinking about end users is changing, Organizations need to start with the end user in mind, Security is top of mind for everyone, and IoT is going to change and disrupt things.  In the end, this event provided interesting insights and a collective view into where the industry is headed.

As the EUC market continues to grow, there has been a surprising lack of focused events on the subject.  Even the larger industry events have shifted their focus away from End User Computing.  Unfortunately, with a case of bad timing, a few key conferences that did supply that focus early on like BriForum have since folded up shop.  But IGEL has decided to step in and fill that void with disruptEUC, which has already taken place this year in Bremen Germany, and has now completed Austin, TX in the US.  To complete its 2018 three country tour, they have one more stop to make on March 13-14th in Melbourne, Australia.  Each regional event provides attendees with an opportunity to meet face-to-face with other users and partners in an intimate setting to gain a better understanding of their regional issues and concerns.

None of the three disruptEUC events would be possible without the support of IGEL and the many vendor sponsors who exhibited and shared their support and expertise to make it happen.  So we bid a warm thank you to each of them.
