BPU Holdings Joins the Cloud and Autonomic Computing Center to Advance AI

BPU Holdings, the leader in Artificial Emotional Intelligence (AEI) and creator of the ZimOS platform, recently accepted the invitation to join The Cloud and Autonomic Computing Center (CAC), supported through the National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry-University Cooperative Research Centers (IUCRC) program. The CAC is backed by the United States National Science Foundation, which integrates the research efforts of: the University of Arizona, Texas Tech University and Mississippi State University. BPU is pleased to be an active member in the CAC site at The University of Arizona.

"We are thrilled to join this global alliance of like-minded researchers seeking to advance the field and technologies of autonomic computing," states Mr. Oh Sanggyoon, CEO, BPU Holdings. "Open-source technology coming from our joint efforts will accelerate the work around Artificial Intelligence and our own Artificial Emotional Intelligence (AEI) technologies."

Autonomic Computing, championed by IBM and others beginning in 2001, aims to develop self-managing computing to overcome growing complexity, and simplify interface by operators and users.

"The addition of BPU Holdings' AI research and technology greatly complements work done already by the CAC," states Salim Hariri, Co-Director and CAC visionary for the past decade. "Among many other applications, BPU's AEI technology shows great potential for healthcare advances in patient emotional and critical assessment."

BPU's near decade of AEI research bypasses larger companies with limited Sentiment Analysis. Some have announced simple APIs, while BPU's ZimOS platform supports both APIs and complete Sentiment Analysis applications such as aiMei and ZimGo Search (www.zimgo.com). While other platforms perform Syntax Analysis one sentence at a time, BPU's AEI scores entire paragraphs, including emoticons and color. BPU is also able to interpret slang using configurable dictionaries. AEI provides Entity Recognition analysis, for people or organizations, as well as by person, brand or entity.
