Rapid Commerce Now Available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace
DataStax and Publicis.Sapient today announced the availability of Rapid Commerce in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, an online store providing applications and services for use on Microsoft Azure. The Rapid Commerce solution is a fully cloud-native, microservices and "headless" architecture-based digital commerce platform accelerator. Publicis.Sapient and DataStax customers can now take advantage of the scalability, high availability, and security of Azure, with streamlined deployment and management.

The Rapid Commerce solution is an out-of-the-box toolkit to quickly get large retailers up on to a modern commerce platform. Rapid Commerce delivers the agility, measurability, and flexibility modern retailers demand as they move into the "right-now economy" via highly personalized commerce platforms. The solution helps to:

    • Reach new customers
    • Grow product offerings
    • Provide better service
    • Increase loyalty
    • Reduce overhead

"Savvy retailers understand that in order to compete and win, they need modern data infrastructure and a cloud - and mobile- ready architecture that can quickly scale and support differentiating customer experiences," said Doug Henschen, Vice President and Principal Analyst, Constellation Research. "We expect to see more software bundles integrating software, services and cloud infrastructure as enterprises across many industries look for help to thrive and innovate in this era of digital disruption."

"Our new solution - Rapid Commerce - will help enterprises manage business-critical eCommerce applications in an increasingly complex, cloud-driven technology landscape," said Matt Rollender, Vice President of Global Business Development at DataStax. "As the underlying database, DataStax Enterprise (DSE) provides contextual experiences for application users and manages massive amounts of data from a variety of sources at cloud scale."

"The Rapid Commerce solution and service model will enable retailers to accelerate their digital transformation journey and keep pace with the rapidly changing expectations of consumers," said Sudip Mazumder, SVP and Head of Delivery for Retail at Publicis.Sapient in North America.

"Through Microsoft Azure Marketplace, customers around the world can easily find, buy, and deploy partner solutions they can trust, all certified and optimized to run on Azure," said Sajan Parihar, Director, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp. "We're happy to welcome DataStax/Publicis.Sapient's solution to the growing Azure Marketplace ecosystem."

The Azure Marketplace is an online market for buying and selling finished Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications and premium datasets. The Azure Marketplace helps connect companies seeking innovative, cloud-based solutions with partners who have developed solutions that are ready to use.

Rapid Commerce is a venture with DataStax, powering the "right-now enterprise" with the always-on, distributed cloud database built on Apache Cassandra, and Publicis.Sapient.

Rapid Commerce is available immediately, and more information can be found on the Azure Marketplace.
