Kentik marked its
expansion into Europe. The company's new European-hosted SaaS option, located
in the state-of-the-art Equinix Frankfurt IBX Center in Germany, is generally
available. This builds on Kentik's existing U.S.-based SaaS presence to better address
the specific needs of European enterprises and communications service providers
(CSPs). Kentik's proven platform now monitors over 400 Tbps of network activity
across 200+ customers globally and processes over 1 trillion flow records
daily.
"As networks and applications grow and become increasingly
complex, the operations groups behind them must have real-time visibility into
both their classic and cloud-native networks to make decisions on routing,
capacity, performance, and security that drive stronger customer experiences
and business results," said Avi Freedman, co-founder and
CEO of Kentik. "We're investing in Europe to fulfill strong demand from
enterprises and CSPs across the region."
"We are very excited for Kentik's expansion, as it will allow us
to further increase our adoption of their industry-leading network analytics
platform," said Jens Osterloh, global network architect at G-Core Labs S.A., a Luxembourg-based global
IT solutions provider and Kentik customer. "Kentik
provides us with comprehensive traffic anomaly detection and is a core aspect
of our DDoS defense strategy. The new location will further reduce latency for
us and help in meeting data privacy and compliance requirements."
Now enterprises and CSPs in Europe, including Kentik's existing
customers, can store data locally. Benefits of Kentik's European-hosted SaaS
option also include:
- Internet Insight for Digital
Enterprise
- Peering & Interconnection
- Internet Performance
- Network Forensics
- DDoS Defense
- Application Insight for
Cloud-Native and Hybrid Networks
- Traffic Cost Management
- Service Dependency Mapping
- Traffic Policy Validation
- Business Insight for Service

- Kentik's Frankfurt, Germany
facility now meets the requirements of customers who wish to store their
data locally within Europe.
"Believing that the price of network visibility is far less than
the cost of staying in the dark, businesses are increasingly looking for ways
to gain value out their network data," said Nissreen Askar, co-partner of Diverse
GmbH, a
European-based Kentik channel partner. "Network analytics from Kentik make this
goal a low-hanging fruit and also enable companies to gain insightful business
value from their data. As a Kentik partner and selling arm in the German
market, we at Diverse GmbH are happy to be part of this unfolding data
revolution together with Kentik. Kentik's expansion into the European market
opens the door wide open for this partnership to render value to European
companies."
As part of the company's European expansion, Kentik continues to
grow its channel program in the region. Kentik also has a growing team in the
region and is hiring Sales and Engineering
positions across Europe.
"Kentik has been a
Marketplace partner since the company's early days, and we continue to be
impressed by their modern network analytics solution that's now serving some of
the largest service providers across Europe," said
Franck Simon, president of France-IX, a leading Internet
exchange in Europe and Kentik technology alliance partner. "With Kentik's
expansion into the region, we're looking forward to watching them achieve new
successes in helping European companies address network visibility and
optimization."
