Simplification of Costs:
After more than three years of navigating the hybrid work landscape and the widespread adoption of SaaS, virtually every department finds itself grappling with considerable IT spend across personal and corporate credit cards. Leaders will look to take these costs out of the business, or centralise procurement with associated negotiations. However, the bigger savings will come from rationalisation, driven by the desire for simpler cross-functional collaboration, security and risk management.
Simplification Using AI:
Individuals, teams, and enterprises will experiment with AI to address digital overwhelm. While certain teams such as customer service, helpdesk, or finance may experience breakthroughs, the primary advantage will be derived from employing specialized tools tailored to specific roles. This, in turn, helps individuals but introduces additional software, sparking questions surrounding security, risk, compliance, and heightened complexity.
