Securin has launched the Securin Platform, an AI-native Preemptive Exposure Management platform that combines attack surface discovery, vulnerability and threat intelligence, vulnerability management, offensive validation and remediation.
The platform is intended to help security teams move from identifying vulnerabilities to determining which exposures present exploitable risk, prioritizing remediation and verifying that fixes have addressed the underlying attack path.
Scanners, cloud security tools, endpoint products and application security systems can generate more findings than security teams can reasonably address. Determining which of those findings give an attacker a viable path to compromise, and whether remediation actually eliminates that path, is an even bigger challenge.
Securin is positioning its platform around that gap, taking factors beyond vulnerability severity into account. A severity score does not indicate whether an attacker can reach a vulnerability, chain it with other weaknesses or is already exploiting it. Where direct validation is appropriate, Securin tests whether an attack path can be exploited. In other cases, the platform uses threat and vulnerability intelligence about weaponization, exploitation and attacker activity to inform prioritization.
“An attacker doesn’t need every exposure to be exploitable. They need one path that works,” said Dr. Srinivas Mukkamala, CEO of Securin. “Our job is to find that path before they do, prove it’s real and confirm when it’s closed. And where direct validation isn’t appropriate, we use intelligence about what attackers are actually doing in the wild. Bringing those two things together – proof where we can get it and real intelligence everywhere else – is what makes Securin different.”
The Securin Platform includes:
- Securin Surface, which discovers unknown, unmanaged and forgotten internet-facing assets from an attacker’s perspective.
- Securin Signals, which uses vulnerability and threat intelligence to identify what attackers are weaponizing and exploiting in the real world.
- Securin Exposure, which consolidates findings from scanners, cloud, endpoint, application security and other systems into a prioritized remediation queue.
- Securin Validate, which tests attack paths to determine whether exposures can lead to compromise and retests fixes to verify those paths have been closed.
- Securin VERA, Securin’s multi-agent AI framework, which connects discovery, prioritization, validation and remediation to reduce manual handoffs between tools and teams.
- Securin Assure, which provides managed vulnerability management and penetration testing services for organizations that need additional capacity.
The combined workflow moves exposures through discovery, validation, prioritization, remediation and verification. This provides organizations with evidence about which risks require action and whether remediation has eliminated the path an attacker could use.
“A finding marked ‘resolved’ doesn’t necessarily mean the exposure is gone or the business is safer,” said Hitesh Kapoor, Chief Product Officer at Securin. “Security teams need to know the difference between something that has been checked off a list and something we’ve actually proven no longer provides a path to compromise.
