Hoxhunt launches Secure Behavior Detection and Response to turn human risk signals into lasting behavior change

Hoxhunt announced Secure Behavior Detection and Response, a product that transforms fragmented security signals into a clear view of risky behavior and helps teams act before isolated events become incidents.

Organizations have more visibility into security activity than ever before, yet understanding how employee behavior contributes to security risk remains challenging. Signals are scattered across tools and the alerts they generate can be overwhelming, making it difficult to recognize recurring patterns, identify where support is needed, and take action before risks escalate.

Secure Behavior Detection and Response correlates events from Hoxhunt and Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Zscaler and other sources to reveal patterns at the employee, team and organizational level. Security leaders can see where exposure is growing, prioritize risk and respond consistently.

“Security teams lack context, not data,” said Mika Aalto, co-founder and CEO of Hoxhunt. “A single event rarely tells you whether someone needs help or whether risk is building across a team. Secure Behavior Detection and Response connects those dots and helps organizations automatically intervene at the right moment, making human risk management measurable and actionable.”

Key capabilities include:

  • Behavioral context and prioritization: Connect related events across tools and time, group them by behavior and focus attention on patterns that signal meaningful exposure.
  • Targeted intervention: Trigger coaching, policy reminders, training, manual review or escalation as risk develops, supported by repeatable response playbooks.
  • Trend analysis and governance: Track risk over time while aligning severity, privacy and visibility controls with organizational policies.
  • Cross-tool intelligence: Combine signals from supported security platforms and proprietary systems through integrations and a flexible API.

Uber demonstrated the potential of this signal-driven model through its CSO Award-winning “Beyond the Checkbox” Human Risk Management program, co-created with Hoxhunt. Operated by a two-person team for more than 25,000 users, the program increased training completion 50%, tripled threat reporting and reduced incidents to ultimately improve Uber’s internal security maturity assessment by 54%.

Monster Energy started their Secure Behavior Management journey with signals from security awareness and adaptive phishing training, and reduced overall security incidents by over 90%.
