Surgient Virtual Labs Enables XOsoft To “Fast-Track” Customer’s Disaster Recovery Projects

Quoting from Surgient's Press Release:

Surgient, the leader in virtual lab applications for automating software demo, test and training labs today announced that its Virtual Demo Lab Management System (VDMS) application is being used by XOsoft, a leading provider of continuous availability software solutions, to provide software testing and evaluation environments to prospective customers of the company’s WANSyncHA for Exchange and SQL product.

Prior to implementing Surgient’s VDMS, a typical pre-sales evaluation at XOsoft could take up to several weeks. XOsoft prospects can now evaluate the software exactly the same way they would if they had built their own lab environment including installation, failover, failback and rewind/CDP (Continuous Data Protection) all within a Virtual Test Lab hosted and delivered by Surgient. Using just a standard web browser, XOsoft prospects can access a full-featured, rich evaluation environment online, including pre-loaded testing scenarios in just minutes, from anywhere in the world, without having to install any software.

“With Surgient, prospective customers of all sizes are able to quickly and easily evaluate XOsoft’s WANSyncHA,” said Gil Rapaport, EVP of Marketing and Strategy.  He continued, ”there’s now no need for them to configure on-site servers before beginning the evaluation.  This tool helps our customers “fast-track” their Disaster Recovery projects which often have strict deadlines – it alleviates a major pain point for them regarding both the IT staff’s time and money and allows them to begin protecting their organization’s data much more quickly.

“XOsoft’s implementation of Surgient’s Virtual Demo Lab Management System is an excellent example of how enterprise software organizations can now provide full-featured software evaluations and proof of concepts to customer prospects online without putting a burden on customers to setup and configure complex test environments”, said Erik Josowitz, Surgient Vice President of Marketing.
