Sign-up to beta System Center Virtual Machine Manager

You may have heard about Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager at either WinHEC 2006 or TechEd 2006.  Both events did a quick demonstration of the product, and there have been numerous articles discussing it these past few weeks.  The product is designed to provide a centralized management solution for Microsoft server virtualization offerings.  It used to be code-named "Carmine", but has since been named.  And now, Microsoft is planning to offer a public beta of the product sometime in Q3 of this year.

You can sign up for the beta of this product by doing the following:

  1. Visit http://connect.microsoft.com
  2. Login using your Windows Live ID (Hotmail, MSN, or Microsoft Passport ID)
  3. Under Coming Soon, select "System Center Virtual Machine Manager Beta 1 Program"
  4. Select Apply and then fill out the survey

Your account will go into a pending state, and you will be notified if you were accepted into the beta program for this product.  As the product becomes available, if accepted, you will be notified with further instructions and information.
