NeoPath Networks to Participate in Storage Virtualization Panel

Quoting from press release

NeoPath Networks, a leading provider of file storage virtualization solutions, will speak at a panel titled "The Virtues of Virtualization" at Storage World Conference (SWC) 2006, 4:50-5:40 p.m. on June 20 in Long Beach, California. Panelists will discuss the state of storage virtualization and provide insight into the future of virtualization, a technology trend that has spread to all levels of computing and holds promise for deeper changes in storage management.

In addition to participation on the Storage Virtualization panel, The Association of Storage Networking Professionals, which hosts SWC, has selected NeoPath File Director(TM), as a finalist in the Most Valuable Product Awards Program. Winners of the MVP program will be announced at the conference. NeoPath Networks will be exhibiting and showcasing File Director at Storage World in booth #320.

File Director, the industry's most comprehensive file storage virtualization product, introduces a virtualization layer between client systems and storage devices, simplifying and automating the management of unstructured file data. Only NeoPath File Director allows a system administrator to transparently migrate individual files or an entire directory between file servers at any time -- even while files are being read and written to by users or applications. This allows for painless storage server upgrade or consolidation. Further, the product's namespace virtualization and policy-based file management enable automated NAS tiering without impacting end users. This approach leads to better use of storage resources, increased end-user productivity, and a reduced workload for storage administrators.
