EVENT: Virtualization and Its Impact on Security & Compliance
Configuresoft, an innovator in systems management technology and the creator of enterprise Configuration Intelligence, today announced that Dennis Moreau, Ph.D., CTO, will be presenting "Virtualization and Security Configuration Policy and Compliance" at the Forrester Security Forum on September 8th at the InterContinental Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia. The Forum focuses on current security best practices, examines impending security threats and explores the necessary next steps toward building security risk management discipline.

In his session, Dr. Moreau will address emerging virtualization technologies and its impact on compliance. "While virtualization technologies hold out the promise of better IT asset utilization, more agile IT asset allocation, and a more secure and consolidated IT infrastructure, they also introduce new complexities into IT configuration policy compliance efforts," said Dr. Moreau. "Compliance must be addressed in the context of both host and guest configuration policies. Policy consistency and configuration compatibility at the application, service, operating system and virtual asset level will emerge as core assessment issues."
