Acopia Networks and FIFTHWAVE Solutions Sign Partner Agreement
Acopia Networks, Inc., the leader in high-performance, intelligent file virtualization, and FIFTHWAVE Solutions, a leading UK-based independent solutions provider, today announced that the two companies have entered into a partnership agreement. Under its terms, FIFTHWAVE Solutions will offer the Acopia family of ARX solutions to its customers across multiple vertical markets, including Investment Banking, Telecommunications, and Manufacturing. The inclusion of the Acopia ARX product set into the established Infrastructure offerings from FIFTHWAVE will provide its customers with the extended capability to better manage the growth, complexity, and cost of their globally distributed, file-based information, by providing automatic, policy-driven, data migration, tiering, load balancing, and replication capabilities across their heterogeneous storage environments.

Our customers have been telling us for some time that one of their greatest challenges center around their ability, or rather lack thereof, to efficiently and cost-effectively deliver a fully managed, automated, storage service and cope with the exponential growth of their file-based information particularly frustrating have been the problems they face in regards to file storage bottlenecks, said Neil Parker, CEO of FIFTHWAVE Solutions. The availability of intelligent file virtualization technology from Acopia, as a core component of our Infrastructure solution set, will allow our customers to address these storage challenges head-on. By allowing our customers to match their business requirements with each storage tiers cost and capabilities, as a service, they will be able to deliver improved datacenter efficiencies, while dramatically reducing storage and backup costs.

Storage bottlenecks impact productivity and service levels across virtually all types of enterprise environments. However, by incorporating Acopia intelligent file virtualization, with advanced server technology and services delivered by FIFTHWAVE, customers in the UK will now be able to address these bottlenecks efficiently and cost effectively improving productivity, reducing cycle times, and processing more tasks with minimal disruption to existing environments, said Kirby Wadsworth, senior vice president of marketing and business development for Acopia.
