Altiris, Inc., a pioneer of service-oriented management solutions, today announced that AppStream, a leader in on-demand application deployment, has joined the Altiris Developer Program. AppStream has optimized its technology to be compatible with Altiris Software Virtualization Solution technology, the combination of which delivers virtualized, on-demand application delivery and management.
IT organizations can now use AppStream 5.1 to provide instant delivery and activation of applications virtualized by Altiris SVS software. SVS software eliminates conflicts between applications and does not alter the Windows installation, while AppStream technology provides efficient and flexible streaming to deliver on-demand applications to the desktop. The combination of SVS with AppStream technology offers IT organizations:
