Surgient Shows Customers How to Accelerate Test Cycles

Surgient experts to demonstrate prototype of advanced integration of Virtual QA/Test Lab Management System with Mercury Quality Center in Partner Showcase and Partner Solution Center

Surgient, the leader in Virtual Lab Management Applications for automating software demo, test and training labs, today announced that it will be demonstrating a prototype of the next version of the integration between Surgient Virtual QA/Test Lab Management System (VQMS) and Mercury Quality Center(TM) at the Mercury World 2006 Conference in Las Vegas.

Surgient, a Silver Sponsor of the event, will be exhibiting in Mercury's Partner Solution Center, the Partner Showcase Booth #225 as well as speaking at a Track Session on implementing a closed-loop environment for automated testing with Mercury Quality Center. The presentation by Marcus MacNeill, Surgient's director of product strategy, takes place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 11.

Surgient's strong presence at Mercury World builds on the momentum of the company's new version of the Surgient Virtual Lab Management Applications v5.0, announced last week, and the verified integration of Surgient VQMS with Mercury Quality Center announced early this summer.

Surgient VQMS allows customers to consolidate test infrastructure and automate the provisioning of test configurations on-demand. The integration with Mercury Quality Center allows testers and automated testing tools to reliably request and securely access test configurations 24x7 to boost team productivity, accelerate test cycles and improve software quality.

The prototype demonstrated at the Surgient booth and in the Mercury Partner Solution Center, takes the integration between Surgient VQMS and Mercury Quality Center to a new level, delivering an intuitive user experience and greater productivity for distributed test teams.

Announced on October 2, version 5.0 of Surgient's Virtual Lab Management Applications increases the capabilities of virtual labs used in enterprise environments. The latest Surgient release adds enterprise-class functionality and scalability, including broad support for complex heterogeneous environments and advanced management capabilities for image and policy-based resource management, such as dynamic pooling, scheduling and calendaring, remote access and comprehensive, customizable reporting tools.

"Surgient shares Mercury's vision of test lab management. Our integrated solution delivers faster test results, improved test coverage and better software for our customers," said Bill Daniel, president and CEO of Surgient. "We are thrilled to be demonstrating our solution at Mercury World and more importantly, to be participating with Mercury in bringing the most comprehensive test lab management solutions to market."
