Yesterday, virtualization.info, in partnership with a company called Kybernetika, launched an on demand, rentable virtual datacenter. The project is called "Rent-A-Lab" and it offers a high available, enterprise-class infrastructure that can be reached, configured and controlled completely online from around the world in a 24x7 timeframe.
Rent-A-Lab offers full control over 1 management station, 9 servers, 2 SANs and 2 network switches. Enough equipment to meet most demands in a virtualization environment:
- Software testing
- Beta software evaluation
- Training new staff
- Benchmark testing
- Exam preparation
- Software demonstrations
Built with virtualization in mind, each part of the infrastructure is certified to operate with the new VMware Infrastructure 3 platform, Microsoft's Virtual Server, Xen, SWsoft Virtuozzo or Sun Solaris Containers.
The lab setup can be rented in full or can be broken down into rentable components. And depending on your project needs and timetables, the setup can be rented for 1 day or more and up to 2 weeks in a row.
Check out the Rent-A-Lab site for more information.
