PlateSpin toasts strong APAC performance

Quoting CRN Australia

Server consolidation vendor PlateSpin has claimed to have achieved 400 percent revenue growth in APAC since 2005.

The firm is now keen to move more of its Australian partners onto the Premier level of its partner program.

PlateSpin also claimed virtualisation is rapidly being adopted by enterprises looking to consolidate applications within the data centre, and pointed to research by Forrester which found that globally, 75 percent of firms are aware of the technologies, 26 percent have implemented already, and another 8 percent will implement this year.

Greg Cullen, regional director of PlateSpin APAC, told CRN: “We enable our partners to increase the margin they can make on standard server consolidation implementations. This also enables partners to differentiate themselves in the market.”

Cullen said the firm has no direct customers in Australia and is fully channel focused in the region.

“In Australia we have 10 Premier partners and we are looking for more of our partners to move to this level. We have another 10 [non-Premier partner] in Australia and our aim is to get all of our partners onto the Premier level.”

Cullen said partners who move onto the higher Premier level will receive advanced deal registration, leads, pricing advantages and future advertising and PR opportunities.
