InovaWave, Inc., a leading provider of optimization and management software for virtual environments, today announced it has appointed Mike Ames as Vice President of Finance and Administration. A high-tech industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Ames will be responsible for implementing the infrastructure and administrative functions of the company, supporting development and execution of the corporate strategic plan, and handling relationships with the financial community.

Prior to joining InovaWave, Ames served as CFO at Neogent (purchased by Sun Microsystems) and has held a number of financial leadership positions at Vignette, Tivoli, Lotus, and IBM. He holds a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso.

Beta Program for DXtreme64 for Windows
InovaWave also announced today the early access beta program for DXtreme64 for Windows, the industry’s first software solution proven to more than double the number of virtual machines possible per server. The beta program is designed for organizations utilizing virtualization platforms on 64-bit architectures, and looking to improve performance of their virtual machines and increase their server consolidation ratios.
