Ecora Software Releases Auditor Professional Enhancements to Add VMware ESX 3.0 Reporting
Ecora Software, a provider of change and compliance reporting solutions to ensure IT infrastructures are secure, compliant and effective, announces that its Auditor Professional solution now provides seamless support for VMware ESX Server 3.0 and for virtual machines running on that platform. In addition, the company announced further enhancements to Auditor Pro to further extend its automated collection and reporting capabilities to include the newest generation of devices and operating systems being installed in enterprise environments, including those from Cisco, IBM, Checkpoint, Novell, and Microsoft.

Available immediately, Ecora Auditor Professional now includes:

  • Check Point Module, which enables collection from Check Point NGX R60 firewalls
  • Cisco PIX Module, which enables collection from Cisco PIX firewalls
  • VMware Module, which enables collection from VMware ESX 3.0
  • IBM DB2 Module, which enables collection from IBM DB2 servers
  • Support for SUSE Linux, which adds more granular collections for this Novell-specific version of Linux
  • Support for Microsoft Vista
  • Support for SQL 2005

Customers in enterprise environments are shifting their security focus from a compartmentalized, network approach to a more holistic approach that focuses on securing data throughout the IT infrastructure. Extending our support for leading database management systems, firewalls and operating systems, as well as emerging technologies like virtualization, reinforces Ecoras commitment to provide detailed configuration reporting for the major systems currently in use, said James Sayles, Chief Compliance and Security Advisor at Ecora. Additionally, with VISAs deadlines around PCI Data Security Standard compliance approaching at the end of September, it is essential to be able to generate reports validating appropriate firewall configurations, especially from industry leaders like Cisco and Checkpoint.
