Acquisition - Wyse Responds to HP buy of Neoware


Well, it took about 2 hours before Wyse delivered a response to the news of HP buying Neoware. That was almost too fast i think but certainly a quick response was ideal. Nice to see them moving quick.

This week saw an announcement by HP that it would acquire Neoware in a deal which, subject to a number of conditions, is expected to close at the end of this year.

What does this mean for Wyse Partners and Wyse?
Firstly, it validates the thin computing market - which is conservatively forcast for greater than 20% annual growth. End-user organizations who have been considering thin computing will be reassured by this investment from a major IT company. This in turn will create more opportunity for you, our Wyse Partners. Wyse has just completed one of its most successful quarters in recent history and the additional interest from this news will help further build our joint businesses.
