OpenVZ at LinuxWorld San Francisco
IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows and events, today provided a preview of next weeks LinuxWorld Conference & Expo. Linux and open source users from around the globe will arrive at San Franciscos Moscone Center to examine the latest products and solutions, hear about emerging trends in the industry, and experience new content focusing on key themes including virtualization, mobile and embedded Linux, Linux on the desktop and more.

LinuxWorld Conference & Expo runs August 6-9, 2007 at Moscone Center. The LinuxWorld exhibit hall floor opens on Tuesday, August 7 at 10:00 a.m.

The OpenVZ project will demonstrate for the first time what is possible using its virtualization software in combination with other virtual machine technology. The demo shows dividing one physical server into virtual servers using Parallels, Xen or VMware software, and then creating OpenVZ virtual environments inside those virtual machines -- effectively creating many virtual servers to improve utilization of the physical server.
