ServePath, a leading managed server provider, today announced that it has been selected as the winner for Best Grid Computing Solution by LinuxWorld.com and IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows and events, in the coveted and highly competitive LinuxWorld.com Product Excellence Awards. The awards distinguish product and service innovations by LinuxWorld and NGDC exhibitors. The winners were recognized during a ceremony at the annual LinuxWorld and Next Generation Data Center Conference & Expo, taking place August 6-9 at the Moscone Center.

Both our Grid Series and our brand new GoGrid offerings were finalists in this storied competition, which speaks volumes about the strength of our overall product line, said John Keagy, president, ServePath. Were thrilled that the LinuxWorld judges selected ServePath for the Best Grid Computing Solution, and were confident that our customers will agree.

ServePaths Grid Series Internet Hosting Platform and GoGrid, a new solution being unveiled at LinuxWorld this week, were selected as finalists in the Grid Computing Solution Category. Named as the winner in the category, the ServePath Grid Series Hosting Package provides the first practical hosted virtualization platform for todays businesses that need a powerful, customizable Internet hosting solution that not only incorporates load balancing as part of a multi-processor solution but also has guaranteed processing and memory.

GoGrid is the first ever Web-based system for purchasing, deploying, and load balancing complex, multi-server Internet architectures with a RAM-based utility computing billing model. Launching at LinuxWorld, GoGrid features several new patent-pending technologies offering a new approach to scalability and management of multi-server environments. Customers can rapidly and conveniently deploy new servers, add or remove both RAM and CPU on existing servers, and load balance servers all via an AJAX-based web interface.
