Neoware, Inc. (Nasdaq:NWRE), a leading provider of thin client computing solutions, today announced the appointment of industry veteran Phil Chambers as North American partner manager. In the newly created position, Chambers is charged with driving the growth of the company's rapidly expanding channel program and managing field sales activities with distribution and reseller partners. Chambers joins Neoware with more than 20 years of channel program experience in the computing industry.
"Our expertise and leading role in the evolution of thin client computing positions us for growth opportunities in global markets where the channel will be critical to our success," said Jim Kirby, executive vice president of sales for Neoware. "Adding Phil to our team further strengthens our channel program and readies Neoware for global growth. With expertise in developing and leading technology channel programs, Phil is a key asset for Neoware."
Chambers brings experience working with both North American and international single and two tier channel partners for various industry leading organizations. Most recently, he has focused on the server-based computing sector where, in addition to channel activities, he has built successful partner programs with market leaders Microsoft and Citrix. Chambers, who has extensive knowledge about the computing industry, will be a critical component in Neoware's initiative to continue to expand the channel program and capture a leading global market share position.
"With the proliferation of virtualization technology, enterprises and vertical industries are turning to thin client computing as an alternative to traditional PCs," said Chambers. "Neoware is the only thin client provider to deliver complete solutions and I am looking forward to continuing to expand the channel program to better meet customer needs."
