Configuresoft Previews New Version of ECM at VMworld
Systems management technology innovator Configuresoft, Inc., today announced that it will preview the newest version of its Enterprise Configuration Manager (ECM) technology this week at VMworld 2007 in San Francisco, Calif. Configuresoft will demonstrate the products capabilities at its VMworld booth #1120.

A true innovation in IT systems management, the newest version of ECM brings together key elements of Configuresofts Configuration Intelligence initiative launched earlier this year. ECM and Configuration Intelligence enables total control over virtualized environments, extension of service desk functionality with closed-loop remediation capabilities, and in-depth analytics of an organizations IT posture. For the first time, companies have a single interface from which to manage both their host (physical) and guest (virtual) environments.

Todays systems management technology falls short when it comes to providing continuous compliance across an organizations people, processes and technology. As companies introduce technologies such as virtualization, these shortcomings are amplified by new complexities, said Dr. Dennis Moreau, CTO of Configuresoft. With ECM, organizations can be confident that they are meeting compliance regulations, managing all changes whether approved or unapproved, meeting security standards and achieving overall operational efficiency. And when moving to virtualized environments, these same benefits can be achieved without costly upgrades or integration headaches.

In addition to the ECM preview at VMworld, Configuresofts CTO Dennis Moreau will present a session titled Virtualization and Enterprise Configuration Policy Compliance on September 13 from 2:00 p.m. 3:00 p.m. PDT. And in conjunction with The Center for Internet Security, Configuresoft will unveil the industrys first Virtual Machine Security Guidelines.
