IronKey Inc., a provider of data and Internet security products, announced today a partnership with Moka5, a desktop virtual computing company targeting consumers and small to medium-sized businesses, to allow Moka5 to bundle and resell IronKey Secure Flash Drives with the Moka5 Engine loaded on the devices. The combined technologies now give consumer and business users the freedom to securely take their computing environment with them anywhere they go.
"We are very excited about our partnership with IronKey and the new levels of performance, ease, and security this partnership provides. By integrating Moka5’s virtual computing technology with the IronKey Secure Flash Drive, consumers and businesses can feel confident that their applications and data are secure while having the flexibility to work wherever they want, " said Bill Demas, CEO of Moka5.
Unlike most desktop virtual machines available today, Moka5 LivePCs start faster and update quicker due to its patent pending Predictive Fetch technology. By including Moka5 Engine on the IronKey's high-speed hardware-encrypted USB flash drive, customers can safely transport their computing environment with confidence, knowing that if the IronKey device is ever lost or stolen, no one can access their data and they can restore their data from an encrypted backup.
"Moka5 is redefining the virtual desktop environment and IronKey is doing the same for world of secure USB flash drives," said Dave Jevans, CEO of IronKey. "Consumers and business users are increasingly taking their digital lives and assets, such as confidential corporate data and personal financial files, with them wherever they go. Protecting all of that information against loss and theft has become critical. This partnership now provides Moka5 users a secure USB flash drive with military-grade hardware encryption and authentication that is fast, portable and easy enough to use for any level of computer user."
To formalize this partnership, Moka5 has joined the IronKey Enterprise Security Alliance, a partners program that brings together vendors from different parts of the security and portable computing infrastructure to help create new highly secure enterprise and government solutions that can work across a variety of computing platforms including Windows, Mac, and Linux.
