PHD Technologies Recognizes AccessFlow as esXpress Partner of the Year
PHD, the manufacturer of the only scalable and completely fault tolerant backup, restoration and disaster recovery solution for VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3, announced today that AccessFlow received the award as esXpress Partner of the Year for 2007. AccessFlow principles, Steve Kaplan and Gary Lamb, were each presented with a Tiffany & Co. chronometer watch at VMworld in honor of the occasion.

AccessFlow, a VMware Premier Partner, focuses exclusively on enterprise virtualization.  AccessFlow was also recognized by VMware during Partner Day at VMworld when the organization presented AccessFlow with the trophy for "Rising Star of the Americas."  AccessFlow considers esXpress to be an exceptional tool for enhancing the virtual infrastructure environments of its clients.

One such client, Save Mart Supermarkets, was the subject of a breakout presentation AccessFlow made at VMworld.  esXpress was an integral part of the solution set AccessFlow developed for inexpensively virtualizing 132 of Save Mart's stores, and was utilized both to copy virtual machines between two VI3 Starter servers as well as to replicate time stamped backups to an Adaptec SNAP appliance.

"We have been extremely pleased with the esXpress product and relationship," said AccessFlow's Kaplan.  "We consider their technology to be exceptional and the organization is very supportive and responsive.  We would not have been able to come up with such a cost effective solution for Save Mart without esXpress."

AccessFlow first came across esXpress in Los Angeles in VMworld 2006, but quickly saw the unique value that having backup and replication functionality as a virtual appliance enables.  After becoming an esXpress partner, AccessFlow quickly began selling large amounts of the product.

PHD's President, Ken Harbin, presented AccessFlow with the award and watches.  "AccessFlow is a great partner," said Harbin.  "Their deep VMware expertise is recognized on a national basis, and we benefit from the feedback they give us about architecture and desired functionality."
