Metron with VMware To Host Free Half-Day Educational Seminars on ‘Capacity Management of Virtual Systems’

Thursday 11th October, London

Thursday 8th November, Birmingham

Metron, whose Athene product provides integrated support for every state of a virtualization project, is hosting a series of seminars on Capacity Management of Virtual Systems in partnership with VMware, the worlds leading virtualization specialist.

Virtualization offers the opportunity to increase IT efficiency, decrease costs and respond faster to changing business demands. It also raises a number of challenges new and old for capacity managers. The seminars will enable delegates to:

* see how capacity management techniques can help ensure successful implementation of virtual environments by helping identify suitable candidates for virtualization

* experience how capacity planning techniques can help in the choice of mix and match alternatives prior to implementation to see how systems will perform

* learn how capacity management techniques can enable the proactive management of a VMware infrastructure to guarantee fewer service level breaches and performance crises

The seminar will include sessions by Richard Stinton (Specialist SE, Northern EMEA, VMware) together with capacity management demonstrations of virtual systems in action, using live data, by Des Atkinson (Technical Director, Metron). The half day event will conclude with lunch in a private dining room.
