Foedus, a leader in Virtual Infrastructure technologies and services, announced today the launch of new Desktop Optimization services. Foedus' Desktop Optimization services will assist in reducing application management costs by allowing accelerated application deployment and increased control of an organizations desktop environment.

"Our Desktop Optimization services will enable Information Technology professionals to control applications using a centralized manage-service model rather than a desktop central model," said Michael Reilly, President and CEO of Foedus. Foedus' Desktop Optimization includes four service offerings:

• On-site training for system administrators.
• Architecture design and implementation services for creating streaming virtual applications to desktops and laptops.
• Managed application sequencing that transforms regular applications and makes them available as a service to end-users.
• Accelerated Deployment Bundle - a fixed-priced engagement resulting in a production-ready infrastructure, including design, implementation, application sequencing, and official classroom training.

In addition to these Desktop Optimization service offerings Foedus is introducing GridTrak(SM) , a proprietary tool for tracking SoftGrid application sequencing activities and for package lifecycle. "GridTrak(SM) is aligned with our application sequencing methodology, designed to consistently ensure high-quality virtualized application delivery," said Dodge. "GridTrak(SM) also streamlines the sequencing documentation process, enabling retention of  application configuration state, licensing info, and change history to a standard that withstands regulatory scrutiny."
