“As VMware CEO Diane Greene stated in her VMWorld keynote, ‘A year ago, we were talking about virtualization becoming mainstream, now we're talking about it as an industry,’” said CRI Technologies CEO Howard Pavony. “The enormous benefits and cost savings virtualization technology offers to mid-tier businesses and enterprises alike is driving explosive growth in software demand. It has also created an even more critical demand for virtualization consulting and implementation skills that manufacturers and end users cannot fill. We have built a skilled and experienced virtualization-focused consulting team that understands the challenges businesses face in moving to virtualized environments and has the expertise to guide them through the architecture and design process as well as implement and manage the best solution for their specific requirements.”
CRI Technologies initiated their expansion strategy with the August 21 acquisition of virtualization consulting company and long-term VMware Premiere partner Computer Resolutions, and plans to continue its accelerated expansion through aggressive organic growth and additional acquisitions.
In addition to Pavony, the CRI Technologies management team includes John Palmieri, President and Chief Technology Officer and John Premus, Chief Strategic Officer. Virtualization expert Palmieri served as President and CTO of Computer Resolutions prior to its acquisition by CRI Technologies. Premus, an early pioneer in virtualization, most recently served as CTO of JRI America and earlier as CTO of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, where his primary focus was the virtualization of SMBC's IT operation.
“VMware is pleased to be working with CRI Technologies to provide customers with high-impact IT solutions based on the industry-leading VMware virtualization platform,” said Card Eschenbach, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations for VMware. “We value our new relationship with CRI Technologies and we look forward to even greater success together in the future.”
“Mid-sized organizations are demanding that a company fill this critical void and provide them with a strategic road map and blueprint to help them navigate the through the challenges of designing and implementing this transformative technology so that they can reap the enormous benefits and ROI of virtualization infrastructure,” added Pavony. “CRI has the vision, strategy, methodology and skill sets to be the premier consulting organization to deliver on the potential of virtualization infrastructure to mid-sized companies.”
