Virtualization Technology News and Information
VMware's VMworld Europe 2008 Event Open and Ready for Registration

Virtualization is hot right now, and there are a number of organizations throwing together different virtualization events to try and keep you informed.  Unfortunately, many of them are just throwing in virtualization tracks to an existing event or they just aren't doing it on the scale that many people are looking forward to attending.  And as such, the premiere virtualization event is and has been VMworld.  It grows every year in attendance, sponsorships, exhibitors, breakout sessions and hands-on-labs.  And while sponsored and put together by VMware, it still provides a forum for other virtualization platforms such as those from Microsoft and the many Xen-based companies, allowing them to come together and showcase their own wares.  It's also one of the best places to go and find out more information from an entire host of third-party software and hardware vendors looking to help you further expand your journey into the virtualization technology.

With a rising virtualization population growing around the world, VMware has decided to expand its VMworld event outside of the United States - with its first ever VMworld Europe 2008 event.  Taking place on February 26, 2008 in Cannes, France (how nice is that), the first annual event expects to please its audience with keynote presentations that cover the latest trends, technologies and challenges in today's virtualization ecosystem.  While it sounds like the event may be taking the place of TSX (VMware's European virtualization event opened to VCPs and Partners), VMworld Europe promises to continue to provide technical details with over 90 breakout sessions and hands on labs that are expected to meet your needs.

If you are interested in attending, I would invite you to look into it and register sooner than later.  The early bird pricing is enticing, however, the key motivator might be the fact that attendance could very well be limited to 3000 attendees.

You can register and find out more information by visiting the event's official Web site, here.
