VEEAM Software Releases Report Version 2.5
Veeam Software, innovative provider of systems management tools for VMware ESX Server environments, today released version 2.5 of its award-winning Veeam Reporter product. Major enhancements include new storage capacity reporting capabilities and more flexible data collection options to limit the scope of reports by data center, cluster or folder.

"Veeam Reporter has been downloaded more than 5,000 times since its introduction earlier this year, and with this new version we incorporate the feedback and suggestions of our customers," said Ratmir Timashev, Veeam president and CEO. "We conduct regular calls between our development team and our customers, and also surveyed those who visited our booth at VMworld in September. Storage management was a key concern many of them raised, and we expect they will be pleased with the capabilities in Veeam Reporter 2.5."

Veeam Reporter’s new Storage Capacity Report automatically creates an Excel 2007 pivot table that provides at-a-glance views of three key areas:

  • Datastore utilization by virtual machine – color-coded bar charts show capacity, utilization and number of virtual machines per data store.
  • Disk space allocation – provides details on which virtual machines are using specific datastores, and how much space is allocated for each VM.
  • Logical disk status – see immediately which virtual machines are running out of free logical disk space.

"During training there is inevitably always a discussion on documenting the VMware environment," said Peter Vroomen, VMware technical trainer with XTG Training. "Veeam Reporter is a super tool to assist in that endeavor and I never fail to draw students’ attention to it."

An earlier version of Veeam Reporter was recognized with a "Best of VMworld" Gold award in the utilities category at VMworld 2007 in San Francisco.

Pricing and Availability
Veeam Reporter 2.5 is available immediately, with North American pricing starting at $120 USD per CPU. Discounts are available when purchased with other Veeam products. For more information or to download the product, visit http://www.veeam.com/veeam_reporter.asp.
