vmSight Releases First Report Pack for Virtual Network Intelligence Product Suite
vmSight, the first and leading provider of virtual network intelligence, today announced the first report pack release for its product suite. Offering key intelligence data required for IT planning, IT accounting and IT auditing, the report pack consists of easy-to-add templates that enable scheduled reports, approval workflows and alerts within vmSights virtual network intelligence product suite, which provides extensive analytics and alerts on all activities within virtual networks.

The subscription-based report pack includes compliance and system management reports for metering virtual network activity and validating network security. The premiere report pack includes HIPAA and PCI compliance reports aligned with specific regulatory requirements concerning secure communications, secure configurations, access authorization, compliance validation and malicious code prevention. Additionally, the system management reports capture user activity trends, high and low activity, application usage, access details, as well as identify virtual desktops and servers. A preview gallery is available online.

Similar in concept to business intelligence, virtual network intelligence is a new breed of virtual network monitoring and reporting tools, stated Jonathan Alexander, president of vmSight. This first release of our report pack offers subscribers tangible analytics to improve systems management and validate regulatory compliance for virtual machines.

The report pack subscription is available immediately in the enterprise edition of the vmSight product suite. Offered in basic, professional and enterprise editions, the product suite includes specialized monitoring components for organizations virtualizing desktops and servers. The policy and reporting center, a virtual appliance, is a browser-based application for all policy definition and reporting. The suite is available for VMware® ESX and VMware Server, and is compatible with VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and VMware ACE. Additional product information is available online at
