Dave Beal, director of product management for VirtualLogix, Inc., the global leader in Real-Time VirtualizationTM, is presenting the business and technical advantages virtualization delivers to DSP environments at the TI Developer Conference Worldwide 2008. In the first of two discussions, Beal will provide an overview of virtualization for TI's DaVinciTM processors including use cases for virtualization of the processor's DSP on single and multi-core DaVinciTM processors (DM643x and DM644x) as well as OMAP 34xx devices. In his second presentation, Beal is providing an overview of the use of multi-core TI DSP platforms (TCI6487/8) to perform control plane and data plane functions within wireless base stations and IMS solutions for equipment consolidation, reduced deployment and operating costs and for increased signal processing density.
VirtualLogix will be demonstrating at Booth #202 how VLX Real-Time Virtualization software delivers lowered bill of materials, power consumption and deployment while simultaneously enhancing signal processing density, system flexibility, scalability and configurability. |
