Virtualization Technology News and Information
VMworld registration open for the September VMworld 2008 show

VMworld is now in its fifth year.  And the trade show has been a great representation of the virtualization community.  What I mean by that is the growth in size, participation and sponsorship to name a few things.  Looking back five years ago at the first show, it seemed like 100 of your best friends were there to find out more about virtualization and VMware.  Fast forward to the future show in the next five months, and 14,000 of your friends are expected to attend.  Quite a difference.  From being thought of as voodoo software to a must have datacenter technology.  A big transformation indeed.  If you haven't attended this trade show, you don't know what you are missing.  Here are some of the things VMware describes about the event.

Get new ideas to take back to your office and stay up-to-date with the latest virtualization technologies. VMworld 2008 offers a content-rich program for attendees new to virtualization:

  • Check out the breakout sessions, where experts will discuss a variety of virtualization topics — from desktop virtualization, business continuity and disaster recovery to datacenter management and operations. Choose sessions with a technical level that fits your background.
  • Discuss and exchange perspectives about virtualization with peers and other industry players.
  • Gain insight from analysts as they offer their independent perspectives on the virtualization marketplace and its current offerings.

This year, over 175 companies will showcase cutting-edge virtualization products and services at the Solutions Exchange. Drop by and experience for yourself the solutions that are helping companies solve complex IT and business challenges.
