Open Kernel Labs Wins eg3.com Editors' and Readers' Tech Choice Awards in the Embedded Virtualization Category
Open Kernel Labs (OK Labs), a global provider of systems software and virtualization technology for embedded systems, announced today that its OKL4 Secure HyperCell technology was chosen for the Editors Choice award and then selected by eg3.coms readers and community for the Readers Choice award. Embedded virtualization, recognized by eg3.com technical editors as a hot new technology, provided the basis for phase one of the Tech Choice awards, the Editors Choice. OK Labs Secure HyperCell technology in OKL4 2.0 was selected through a review of 1,500 news submissions.

"The eg3.com Tech Choice awards honor companies for innovation in practical technologies," said Jason McDonald, senior editor, eg3.com. "OK Labs new Secure Hypercell announcement garnered both an Editors' and a Readers' choice in the virtualization category. This exciting product blends the needs of embedded devices with those of enterprise networks, all the time maintaining required levels of trust and security."

After selecting OK Labs for an Editors Choice award winner, eg3.com polled its audience of over 42,000 subscribers for its Readers Choice award, asking them to vote for the technology that they considered the best of the best. The readers spoke and they chose OKL4 Secure HyperCell Technology.

We are honored to have been chosen by eg3.coms editors and by the readers, said OK Labs CEO Steve Subar. Listening to our customers and partners has enabled us to develop solutions that meet market requirements. We have a strong commitment to the developers community and we thank everyone for voting.

The eg3.com Tech Choice awards identify the newest and most technologically sophisticated products from the previous six months. Both the Editors Choice award and the Readers Choice award are considered an honor.
