Neocleus, a pioneer in virtualization that is fundamentally changing how endpoints operate, and Fujitsu Consulting, the client-focused IT consulting and services arm of Fujitsu, today announced a partnership that will provide enterprises with a solution to fully manage and secure endpoints such as laptops and desktops. The partnership delivers a powerful and robust offering that answers the need for greater control and better protection of endpoints regardless of location.
Under the terms of the agreement, Fujitsu will provide to clients its industry-leading systems integration expertise and services and will host Neocleus’ endpoint IT management solutions, including Neocleus Trusted Edge, the company’s first virtual software appliance. This solution leverages Neocleus’ Type 1, bare-metal open source hypervisor for endpoints, and offers enterprises a way to fully protect endpoint access to corporate assets regardless of the endpoint’s state of security.
“Enterprises today are looking for endpoints that are agile and efficient, yet don’t impact overall infrastructure cost,” said Jay Kim, director, hosting and security, Fujitsu Consulting. “The combination of our expertise coupled with Neocleus’ products and technology provides a compelling solution that offers enterprises the flexibility, manageability and security they need to successfully run their businesses.”
Neocleus’ innovation in applying virtualization to endpoints provides IT with a virtual endpoint environment that is easy to provision and control while giving users maximum flexibility to gain access to critical corporate assets from anywhere and at any time. With the Neocleus solution, end users interact with IT resources in a predictably trusted virtual environment outside of a Windows operating environment. Applications, data and services maintain complete access to all the capabilities offered by the underlying endpoint hardware maximizing performance and the end-user experience. The approach Neocleus takes to authentication and configuration management creates a more streamlined and secure infrastructure.
“Today’s IT organizations require a radically different endpoint infrastructure that offers complete flexibility to address the needs of many different user scenarios including road warriors, outsourced workers and employees,” said Ariel Gorfung, co-founder and CEO, Neocleus. “Our partnership with Fujitsu allows organizations to more quickly realize the promise that virtualization offers and to deploy a revolutionary endpoint for delivering applications, services and data – ultimately resulting in a more efficient, secure and agile infrastructure.”
