Desktone, Inc., provider of the first solution that enables virtual desktops as a service, today announced that Julian Weinstock, VP of product management, will be a featured speaker at SYS-CON 2008 Virtualization Conference & Expo on June 23^rd, 2008 in New York City. Weinstock will explore the technology trends, business scenarios and economic imperatives that are shaping the future of virtual desktops, enabling new delivery and consumption models.

During Weinstock’s presentation, “The Future of Virtual Desktops: Turning Rich Desktops into a Ubiquitous Service,” on June 23^rd at 2:30pm, he will discuss how virtual desktops can go beyond the sum of the virtual parts to deliver true business value.

Weinstock is responsible for Desktone’s product strategy and execution. The products under his direction enable the delivery of virtual desktops as a managed service, simplifying IT and reducing the cost of delivering enterprise desktops. Weinstock joined Desktone in 2007 from Microsoft. For two decades he has served in senior product strategy and technology roles at companies including Softricity, OpenMarket and KLA-Tencor, with a track record of bringing innovative products to the market. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in EE/CS from the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology.
