VMware has announced the release of VMware Workstation 6.5 Beta 2 – the latest version of the company's mature and advanced desktop virtualization tool.
What’s New in VMware Workstation 6.5 Beta 2:
- Record/replay functionality in the Integrated Virtual Debugger. With the advanced Record and Replay technology that’s now integrated as part of VMware Workstation’s Integrated Virtual Debugger for Visual Studio, you can deploy your applications in “record” mode to capture your entire virtual machine execution. You can then reproduce the exact virtual machine execution and debug the application during replay to quickly identify defects.
- Multi-monitor support for Unity feature. Enjoy seamless integration of your favorite guest applications with your host across two or more monitors.
- Granular control of physical network adapter configuration for bridged networking. Customize which physical network adapters should be used for auto-bridged networking with ‘substring matching’ for adapter name.
- Virtual machine streaming. Start using your virtual machines without waiting for them to completely finish downloading from VMware Virtual Appliance Marketplace or HTTP server.
