Virtualization Technology News and Information
UK's first dedicated event for server and desktop virtualization: VM08

VM'08 is the UK's first dedicated server and desktop virtualization exposition, and it will run alongside IP'08 which has already established itself as Europe's leading IP and Convergence event.

Visiting VM'08 will allow you to attend two days worth of seminars and case studies with industry-leading organizations such as VMware, Microsoft, Citrix, HP and Neverfail.  It will help you address key VM and convergence technologies, solutions, issues and futures as well as gaining expert guidance in the essentials of virtualization.

VM'08 will include an independent seminar program featuring analysts and key suppliers, designed to give visitors a comprehensive overview of solutions, tools and a road-map to implementing a solid virtualization management strategy.

The event will look exclusively at desktop virtualization, network virtualization and Flexible IT, showcasing all the latest virtualization technologies, as well as addressing the issues currently dominating the market.

Key themes being covered by the event:

  • Managing the 'virtual sprawl'
  • Cost saving and capacity improvements
  • Managing physical network convergence in a virtualized environment
  • QoS on a virtual network
  • Selection of tools and politics to manage virtual assets

Adam Malik, Content Director, Imago Communications, commented: “Virtualization as a new stream of technology is set to revolutionize how IT departments manage infrastructure and service delivery.  While other technology innovations can be prohibitively expensive to implement, virtualization is not and so is relevant for both small and large businesses. It is an exciting new technology and VM08 hopes to explore exactly where it is heading and help provide the clarity and knowledge for enterprises to truly understand this technology.”

Attendance to the event is free, and visitors to VM08 will also have access to the well-established IP08 event, an event dedicated to the latest developments in IP networking - and you don't have to register separately to attend both events.

Mark your calendar for October 1-2, 2008.  The event takes place at Earls Court, London.
