NextIO Showcases I/O Virtualization on Its Next Generation Any-to-Any Platform Adaptive Connect at VMworld 2008

The platform delivers a revolutionary approach in I/O solutions and helps optimize critical, large-scale data centers by:

  • Providing I/O choice without infrastructure change by leveraging existing PCI express infrastructure and software
  • Reducing capital and operating costs including power and space
  • Increasing productivity with simplified management
  • Improving performance via resource capacity on demand
  • Ensuring affordable business continuity

The demonstration shows I/O profile migration across heterogeneous physical servers residing in separate server racks. This enables N+1 failover saving time, money, space and power while increasing reliability and availability. This functionality will be proven on standard, commodity infrastructure providing the greatest flexibility.
