Hyper9, Inc., the leader in search-based software for managing the dynamic nature of virtual environments, today announced that it will hold open auditions for enterprise virtual administrators to join its Hyper9 beta program at booth # 1054 at VMworld, September 15-18, in Las Vegas. Regardless of whether they qualify for the beta program or not, all candidates are invited to drop by the Hyper9 booth and enter for a chance to win a fantastic combination of a Nintendo Wii machine and an Aerosmith Guitar Hero game bundle so they can rock out at home, too!
An initial band of rock star virtual administrators have already helped Hyper9 compose and fine tune the product pain points to be addressed. Starting on September 15 at its booth, Hyper9 will open up the program to experienced and talented virtual administrators in order to orchestrate a much deeper and specific arrangement of product features.
“As an early enrollee in the Hyper9 beta program, Pitney Bowes has benefitted from the comprehensive visibility that Hyper9 has provided into our virtual environment,” said Steven D. Acreman, Infrastructure Manager (EMEA) Tech Central Software Services, Pitney Bowes Business Insight. “This is especially important when you consider how quickly the virtual environment can change.”
“We’ve been working closely with the Hyper9 team to shape this into an important troubleshooting tool,” said D. Arell Chapman, AVP Network Administration, United Bancorp, Inc. “Because Hyper9 allows me to run diagnostics from so many different dimensions—from the hardware to OS to hypervisor and even the application layer—I’m able to see the full scope of my virtual environment.”
“As a services and hosting organization, Technical Momentum is always focused on the service levels it delivers to its customers. To do that, we have to constantly be on the lookout for the best management products,” said Brent Taylor, managing partner, Technical Momentum (MSP). “Hyper9 has structured its beta program to optimize the contributions of all its participants and to ensure that its Hyper9 product is a winner.”
The beta program, which is open to qualified enterprise users, is designed to provide early access to the core Hyper9 search product, as well as add-on product modules such as VMDNA, monitoring and reporting. Preliminary virtualization rock star members also are encouraged to help recruit the people they believe will have the greatest impact on the Hyper9 product.
In June, Hyper9 unveiled its search-based platform for managing the dynamic nature of virtual environments. Hyper9 leverages a specialized search engine to access both real-time and historical data in the virtual stack from the guest operating system to the physical infrastructure, and then presents that data via a next-generation user interface. As a result, Hyper9 supports faster troubleshooting, comprehensive monitoring and detailed reporting on the performance, configuration and utilization of virtual environments.
