AppSense Partners with Leading North American Reseller as "Best of Breed" Policy and Personalization Management Solution for Virtual Desktops
AppSense, the leading provider of user environment management solutions for the enterprise, today announced a partnership with Cyberklix, a leading value-added reseller, to provide policy and personalization solutions for the premier consulting company’s customer base.

Based in Mississauga, Canada, Cyberklix offers virtualization, information security and IP networking solutions to a broad array of North America enterprises, including those in financial services, manufacturing and government. In July 2008, Cyberklix acquired Performance Network Solutions Inc. of Chicago, IL, an award-winning Citrix partner, who developed significant expertise in the area of virtualization and built one of the most successful consulting firms in the mid-west U.S.

“Cyberklix customers are interested in desktop virtualization because of the cost savings and flexibility it promises. We offer only best-of-breed technologies and AppSense has a superior, enterprise-ready solution, making our partnership with AppSense an easy decision,” said Eric Perkins, chief technology officer for Cyberklix and founder of Performance. “AppSense’s Environment Manager 8.0 is the most refined solution on the market. Its management tools are easy to use, the rollback capability is tremendously advantageous to helpdesks that need to restore profiles, and it is extremely resilient should there be a need disaster recovery,” he noted.

Bimba Manufacturing of Monee, IL, is among the Cyberklix customers that are contracting with the company for virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions and employing AppSense technology. Bimba is expanding its manufacturing capabilities into Mexico City, with 100 Citrix XenDesktop systems utilizing AppSense Environment Manager for “on demand” personalization and policy management for administrative, inventory, receiving and shipping activities. Cyberklix recently completed a proof of concept for Bimba and plans to install the production VDI solution in 2009.

“Cyberklix is a well-respected IT consulting organization and we’re delighted with this partnership,” said Paul Szemerenyi, VP Sales, North America for AppSense. “We’re excited to be working with Cyberklix as a key part of their virtualization solution, as more and more companies want to realize the financial and productivity benefits of this technology,” he noted.

The only enterprise solution that enables standardized virtual desktop environments to be fully – and automatically – personalized, AppSense Environment Manager 8.0 accelerates virtual desktop adoption by rapidly configuring desktops and applications with a user’s personal and policy settings without administrator intervention. It enables users to have the same look and feel, shortcuts and other settings on a virtual desktop that they had on their physical PC, while ensuring they adhere to company policies, such as accessing pre-determined printers, applications, networks, drivers and folders. AppSense’s U.S. customers include JP Morgan Chase, Lowes, United Airlines, Wachovia, Wal-Mart, ESPN, Applied Materials, and CB Richard Ellis, among others.
