Reflex Systems Announces Ten New Virtualization Management Center Customers

Reflex Systems, the pioneer in virtualization management and security, today announced the implementation of Reflex VMC (Virtual Management Center) at ten new customer sites.  The customers announced include organizations from a variety of industries including healthcare, education, government, financial, retail, and energy.

Customers include Schwan’s, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Mississippi State University, Tanger Outlets, Clark Atlanta University, Rowan County (NC) Government, First Light Power Resources, Wake County (NC) Government, eNeighborhoods, and Bank of Canada.

"Virtualization is rapidly being adopted by all types of organizations as a means to cut costs, lower overhead, and save energy in this economy," said Pete Privateer, CEO of Reflex Systems. "Several of these organizations are choosing Reflex VMC to capitalize on their virtualization investment because it offers best practice based management, ensures compliance regulations are being met, and fully secures virtual infrastructure."

Reflex VMC dramatically increases the visibility, management and security of an organization's virtual infrastructure. Purpose-built on a strong security foundation, VMC provides the essential tools needed to bridge the gap between management and security in virtualized data centers. VMC provides infrastructure discovery and visualization, revision control, application/services discovery, network security, performance, lifecycle management and policy enforcement.

"Deploying virtualization has helped us significantly reduce costs and increase our efficiency," said Clay Hill, Web Sites Manager at Mississippi State University Libraries. "We selected the Reflex VMC to help us continue to reap the benefits of virtualization, while keeping peace of mind that our virtual environments are not only properly managed, but also secure."

Recently, Reflex Systems renamed its award-winning "Reflex Virtual Security Center" to "Reflex Virtual Management Center."  The new name more appropriately reflects the addition of several comprehensive virtual infrastructure management capabilities that are featured in the latest release of the solution that recently won ‘BEST OF SHOW’ at VMworld2008 in Las Vegas.

Reflex Virtualization Management Center (VMC) - Features and Benefits

As enterprise organizations begin to deploy virtualization technologies into live production data center environments, the ability to manage, secure, audit, and control virtual machines is becoming a top priority. Reflex Security's VMC is the industry’s first virtualization management solution to combine the following key management features with the necessary security controls that enable IT administrators to visualize, proactively monitor their virtual infrastructure and enforce business and IT policies.

  • Virtual Infrastructure Discovery & Mapping - Utilize extensive real-time and historical visual reporting through timeline-based, graphical topology maps.
  • Revision Control & Configuration Monitoring - Monitor and analyze virtual infrastructure changes in real-time and historically by tracking network revisions that generate network diagrams at anytime in the past.
  • Applications & Services Discovery - Optimize and protect virtual environment through discovery of applications and protocols over the virtual network by inspecting the traffic content.
  • Virtual Network Security (FW/IDS/IPS) - Reduce the risk of virtual machine intrusion, infection, and compliance violations by detecting and preventing attacks on the virtual infrastructure and enforcing IT policies.
  • Network & Application Performance Monitoring - Improve the service level for critical applications and quickly troubleshoot issues by analyzing virtual network performance and discovering virtual network bottlenecks.
  • Virtual Machine Lifecycle - Monitor the health of virtual machines from creation to decommission by tracking users, configurations, applications, and performance in context of security.
  • Virtualization Policy Management - Define and enforce IT policies across multi-vendor virtual environments.
