Once again this year, VMware is organizing its European virtualization conference, VMworld Europe. And just like in 2008, this year's conference will take place in Cannes, France at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès. With a slogan like "Virtually anything is possible", you know you won't be disappointed. In 2008, 4,500 people made the journey, and I expect that number to increase sharply.
The second annual VMworld Europe will take place on February 24-26, 2009, so be sure to mark your calendar as the date approaches quickly. At the conference, VMware is expected to cover the technology from the desktop to the datacenter. And I would expect that they will continue to expand on their vision of the VDC-OS framework and release more information about their next version of ESX 4.0 as it draws near. You won't want to miss this, I'm sure.
They already have more than 100 technology partners and virtualization vendors signed up. So things seem to be shaping up nicely from that perspective.
And then, VMware is looking to you, the end user to help make this show even better. To add to the content that they can provide, they are looking for real world experience with the technology. And they want you to help provide that experience. If you are interested in presenting at the show, now is the time to act. VMware has a call out for participation and a call for papers. More details about submitting a session can be found in the following document.

I hope to see you at the show!
