FastScale Technology, Inc., provider of award-winning software platforms for next generation data centers, today announced that FastScale Composer™ Suite and FastScale Stack Manager™ will support VMware vSphere
TM by the end of 2009. Launched today, VMware vSphere will transform datacenters into dramatically simplified cloud infrastructures to enable the next generation of flexible, reliable IT services.
By supporting VMware vSphere, FastScale Technology can further extend the benefits of its integrated software management platform for next generation data centers and help enable customers to manage multiple infrastructures as a seamless, flexible and dynamic cloud environment.
“We are pleased that FastScale Technology is supporting VMware vSphere and providing customers with a more flexible, reliable and scalable computing environment,” said Bernie Mills, senior director, alliance programs, VMware. “By supporting VMware vSphere, FastScale can further enable increased efficiency, control and choice for customers.”
FastScale’s technology enables data centers to respond to constantly changing business requirements, server workloads, and server hardware with a server software platform that dramatically increases agility while significantly reducing day-to-day operating complexity and cost.
FastScale fully automates the process of building, managing and deploying heterogeneous server software environments with compact software environments built on-demand, automatic patch and configuration management, lightweight provisioning in only seconds, and an enterprise-class repository for lifecycle management.
FastScale software environments average 95% smaller than traditional images, dramatically decrease memory requirements, and increase virtual server density by 300% or more. With FastScale’s solution, the entire server infrastructure, both physical and virtual, is a dynamic pool of resources, able to able to adapt to constantly changing demands.
“Our support of VMware vSphere will provide customers with powerful new tools to manage their infrastructure in the cloud,” said Jerry McLeod, vice president of marketing and business development for FastScale Technology. “We recently launched our first product that supports off-premises clouds, and extending our capabilities with VMware vSphere will be a big win for our customers with complex, multi-infrastructure computing requirements.”
