DataCore Software, the leading provider of storage virtualization, business continuity and disaster recovery software solutions, today announced that it has already begun the first in a series of ten events focused on server and storage virtualization solutions throughout major markets in China. Digital China, VMware and DataCore have organized the events due to the growing interest and demand for virtualization solutions across China. VMware, the leader in server virtualization, and DataCore, the leading storage software virtualization provider, have worked together with Digital China to set up the tour to showcase the benefits of ‘going virtual’ to hundreds of partners at each event. Each city roadshow will feature technology and sales presentations, product demonstrations and virtualization tutorials designed to help partners take advantage of the virtualization business opportunity.
Hosted by Digital China, the largest IT product distributor in China, the roadshows began in Shandong Province in May and will end on June 23rd in Nanjing. In total, the roadshows are scheduled to take place in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Jinan, Shenyang, Wuhan, and Chengdu.

Virtualization technology has become the ‘Hot’ topic in China lately, and the two featured vendors at all of the scheduled Digital China roadshows will be DataCore and VMware. The first phase of the tour covered Jinan, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. Remaining dates for the remaining cities follow: May 21st – Shanghai, May 26th – Shengyang, June 5th – Beijing, June 11th – Xi'an, June 18th – Chengdu, June 23rd – Nanjing.
Digital China has organized the tour and provided a venue for a great number of resellers to learn about the productivity benefits of virtualization software from DataCore and VMware. “Digital China is the largest IT product distributor in China with a network of over 9,000 resellers and agents across the country,” adds Thompson. “They are a lynchpin to our go-to-market strategy in China."
Registration demand reveals that these virtualization roadshows are poised to be the best attended roadshows of their kind put on by an IT distributor in China.
