Neocleus to Present "Client Computing for This Millennium" at BriForum 2009
Neocleus, the leader in client virtualization, today announced that it will present “Client Computing for This Millennium” at BriForum® 2009. BriForum is a premier virtualization event currently in its seventh year. The conference brings together independent, advanced, technical information and expert strategies from top-notch industry analysts, bloggers and best-selling authors. Neocleus a sponsor of the event and will be demonstrating its innovative client virtualization solutions at the show in addition to presenting. The event takes place from July 21 – July 23 at the Hilton Chicago Hotel. Neocleus’ presentation is on July 23 from 8:30 – 9:45am CST.

Who

Neocleus Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer Etay Bogner, who drives the company’s product vision and technical direction, will be delivering the presentation at BriForum 2009 on July 23. As a networking and security industry veteran, this is Etay’s second entrepreneurial venture. Check Point Software Technologies acquired a majority share in Etay’s first company, SofaWare Technologies LTd. After founding the company, Etay served as managing director of SofaWare Technologies. In addition, Etay has held technical positions at BackWeb and other Internet, networking and security companies.

What

“Client Computing for This Millennium”

Client virtualization has emerged as a game-changing agent for client computing, and a technology that offers the best possible balance for IT control, manageability and security, while giving end users the power to access the public Internet and use the applications they want. Furthermore, when using a client based bare metal, Type 1 hypervisor approach to client virtualization, companies are equipped to address the distinct use cases and specific client computing challenges that most directly impact their businesses.

Bogner will discuss why client virtualization is viewed as one of the most promising technology investments in a turbulent economic climate and how its benefits reap real cost savings for IT. Additionally, he will outline how virtualization will bring a new wave of client computing that will yield dramatic savings in total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) of corporate-owned desktops and laptops. Bogner will talk about how client virtualization addresses escalating infrastructure costs by improving IT control and security while increasing employee productivity by giving workers the freedom to work using their own devices and applications.

Bogner will demonstrate how client virtualization offers a different approach for controlling the corporate image without compromising security, ultimately reducing TCO of corporate-owned desktops and laptops.

Where and When

Etay will present “Client Computing for This Millennium” on July 23, 2009 at 8:30am CST in the Stevens Center #3. Those interested can register for BriForum at www.briforum.com. The event takes place from July 21 – July 23 at the Hilton Chicago Hotel.

Why

Client virtualization and the use of bare metal, Type 1 hypervisors represents a new platform for client computing enabling companies to balance the need for IT control with end-user flexibility and independence. The current set of processes and technologies used to secure and manage desktops and laptops, although providing incremental value to IT, do not sufficiently address the ever-increasing support and management costs associated with desktops and laptops used within organizations today. Just as virtualization technologies have dramatically decreased the cost of running the data center, so will virtualization transform the client. Attendees will get a first-hand opportunity to see this game changing technology in action.
