VDIworks to Demonstrate VideoOverIP protocol at TechTarget's BriForum 2009
VDIworks, a provider of virtual desktop management and enablement products, today announced that it will be showcasing its new VideoOverIP virtual desktop remoting technology at BriForum 2009, at the Hilton Chicago Hotel from July 21 - 23.

"It hasn't quite been a month since we launched VideoOverIP but the response we've received has just been fantastic," said Amir Husain, President and CEO of VDIworks. "We're really excited to share live demonstrations of the product with attendees at BriForum."

VideoOverIP integrates with almost any thin client and all major Hypervisors, including Xen, VMware ESX™ and Microsoft Hyper-V™. Its vendor independence, excellent performance, multi-monitor capabilities, small size and simple install differentiate it from other solutions in the market. By accelerating all types of video and animation without any codec limitations, VideoOverIP significantly improves the end-user experience and simplifies VDI deployments for IT administrators.

"A high-quality user experience has been one of the big challenges for VDI deployments," said Brian Madden, industry expert and organizer of the BriForum conference. "VideoOverIP is definitely a step in the right direction. Combine its capabilities with its ability to work with any hypervisor and any thin client, and you've got a really strong solution."

VideoOverIP pioneers a new level of flexibility and configurability allowing users to optimize protocol performance for their specific environments. For example, VideoOverIP provides multiple compression algorithm choices, which can be adjusted to deliver the best quality and responsiveness for a given network. The product also allows buffer sizes to be adjusted to enable improved synchronization of audio and video, delivers multiple administrator-selectable methods for source capture and implements an advanced adaptive delta algorithm to maximize performance.

VideoOverIP can function independently of a connection broker, but is also fully supported by VDIworks VDP management and brokering product. In addition to VideoOverIP, VDP also supports many other protocols, such as PC-over-IP, HP RGS, Microsoft RDP, TCX and others.

VideoOverIP is available immediately. For more information and to register for an evaluation, please visit:
